Please ensure you have fully read the following Terms & Conditions as well as our Snow Clearing, Salt/Grit Policy for Self-catering Guests (see www.badaguish.org/Accommodation) Before booking any accommodation at Badaguish.

 

Breach of these Terms & Conditions requires any visitor to vacate the premises immediately.

 

BADAGUISH HOUSE RULES – Please respect them:

 

  • No noise outside after 11pm
  • No excess alcohol
  • No rowdy behaviour
  • No abuse of facilities or equipment
  • No smoking inside any of our buildings
  • Please use the Recycle and Refuse Point
  • Observe speed limits, please use proper car parking areas and do not go to the grass areaswith a vehicle
  • Do not damage surrounding trees and grass areas
  • Remember there are often children playing on the site and undertaking activities
  • The Pyramid Climber and Monkey Rings can be used at your own risk, however, please make sureyoung Children are supervised when playing on equipment or near the pond
  • Please exercise your dog off site in the surrounding forest
  • Guests who exhibit what we consider to be anti-social behavior (including whilst under theinfluence of drugs or alcohol), will be given a verbal warning. If the problematic behavior does

    not cease, they will be removed from the site, at their own cost – no monies will be refunded.

  • Be courteous to fellow residents and keep noise levels down, particularly at night
  • Excessive alcohol or drug abuse will not be tolerated (guilty parties will be shown off the site andthe police may be called)
  • Read and be aware of the fire plan and fire equipment

    ACCOMMODATION BOOKING TERMS & CONDITIONS

     

    DEPOSIT PAYMENT:

     

    To secure a booking following an enquiry either online, by phone or by email, the following deposits must be paid at the time of booking:

    Lodges: 50% non-refundable deposit
    Wigwams: Full payment
    Camping: for private and group bookings, non-refundable full payment is required on booking. For group bookings, 10% non-refundable deposit (based on estimated numbers if necessary)

     

    Payment must be made by credit/debit card unless you have a corporate account with us. We will store your card details for future payments.

     

    BALANCE PAYMENT:

     

    Payment must be made by credit/debit card unless you have a corporate account with us. We will store your card details for future payments.

     

    Lodges: Payable 45 days prior to arrival.
    Wigwams: Full payment taken at time of booking, therefore, no balance payment required
    Camping (group bookings only): At least 7 days prior to arrival when actual numbers staying must be confirmed, unless you have a corporate account with us.

     

CANCELLATION/REFUND POLICY:

 

If circumstances arise and you need to cancel your booking the following will apply:

 

Lodges:

  • Up to 6 weeks prior to arrival – balance payment isn’t required
  • Cancel less than 6 weeks prior to arrival – remaining balance is payableWigwams: No refund will be made, however, if more than 48 hours’ notice is given, we will offer an alternative date suitable for you, subject to wigwam availability. Camping: No refund will be made, however, if more than 48 hours’ notice is given, we will offer an alternative date suitable for you, subject to availability.

     

     

     

    ARRIVAL DAY:

    All accommodation is available from 4 pm and a welcome briefing will be provided on or soon after arrival. Please inform us of your estimated arrival time and if this time changes significantly, please let us know.
    if you are likely to arrive after 5 pm please call the Warden on 07843 882351 and your welcome briefing will normally take place the following morning.

    Lodges: As a bond, we pre-authorise £150 per lodge on the credit/debit card you previously provided to us; payment will be taken on your departure day to cover the following costs incurred during your stay and card authorisation will be released a few days after your stay depending on your bank.

     

    DEPARTURE DAY:

    All accommodation must be vacated by 10.00am. Please note the following:

    Lodges:

  • Gas and Electricity used: charged at cost via meter reading on departure day. Badaguish has no mains gas therefore gas charges may be higher than you are used to. We can give you some guidance on average costs to help you budget for your stay.
  • Excess cleaning charge: £35 per lodge will be applied if the lodge and surrounding area are found to be in an unsatisfactory condition just prior to departure.
  • Centre guests and their visitors are responsible for all breakages/damages which
    will be charged at cost, including damaged or lost keys where there will be a minimum of £50 charged.Wigwams:
  • Leave the wigwam neat and tidy with no rubbish inside
  • No food is to be left in the fridges.
  • Any items left behind in a wigwam must be claimed within 2 weeks of departure.If relevant, postage and packing charges for the return of the goods will apply.
  • We reserve the right to charge to the credit/debit card details given on booking, an additional fee should the wigwam be left in an unsatisfactory condition (minimum £15 additional cleaning charge) or if there is any damage to the wigwam or the furnishings therein (actual cost of repair /placements).Camping:
  •  Leave the camping pitch clean with no rubbish around the area

 

PETS:

Welcome in lodges, but not in wigwams or on camping pitches.

  • Cost is £15 per dog per stay for stays between 3-5 nights or £25 per dog per stay for stays of 6 nights and more.
  • Separate arrangements apply to husky and rescue dog groups, please contact us for details.
  • Dogs must be kept on leash at all times and exercised off-site.
  • Owners must clean up all mess as required, and an additional £35 cleaning charge willapply if accommodation or surrounding areas are found to be in an unsatisfactory

    condition on departure.

  • If any damage occurs, it will be charged at replacement cost.CAMPING VEHICLES

    Not allowed in the grassed area unless briefly for loading/unloading with the prior permission of the Warden.

     

     

    GENERAL

  • For supermarket deliveries, please ensure details of accommodation are provided on placing the order, and someone from your group must be present on receiving the delivery. Badaguish takes no responsibility for any deliveries to onsite guests.
  • Low Noise Policy Site: Please consider other guests and keep the noise levels to a minimum especially after 10.00 pm. Guests must inform the Warden (or another member of Badaguish’ staff) as soon as possible of any disturbances/problems with other site guests. Guests should not attempt to resolve such situations themselves. Please do not disturb the Warden after 8 pm unless strictly necessary.
  • The buildings, fittings, and equipment at the Centre are well maintained; adventure play items are perfectly safe if treated with respect and provide a terrific amount of fun.
  • Visitors must not interfere with any Centre services or equipment but should contact a member of staff for assistance when required.
  • All accidents, breakages or defects should be reported promptly.
  • There is usually a Warden on the site to advise/assist guests. Guests must inform the Warden (oranother member of Badaguish’ staff) as soon as possible of any disturbances/problems with other site guests. Guests should not attempt to resolve such situations themselves. Please do not disturb the Warden after 8pm unless strictly necessary.
  • Weather Conditions: It is the client’s responsibility to get to Badaguish for the booking whatever weather conditions prevail.OUTDOOR PURSUITS, SPORTS OR COUNTRYSIDE ACTIVITIES

    Participation in any outdoor pursuit, sports or countryside activities carries an inherent degree of risk. Badaguish is committed to providing the highest standards of Health and Safety to all visitors and staff. Proper risk assessment and procedures are in place for all activities at Badaguish and for groups working under Badaguish staff supervision both on and off-site. Full public liability insurance is held, and Badaguish is licensed by the Adventurous Activity Licensing Authority (AALA).

    For those visitors carrying out their own supervised activities, appropriate precautions must be taken to ensure the safety of your groups. In particular, due regard made to weather, terrain, equipment and letting someone know your details when off site. Please satisfy yourself that all reasonable and sensible preparations have been made before going on any outing. Groups and individual supervisors are advised to check their own insurance cover, liability and qualifications for activities being carried out independent of Badaguish staff.
